Minda, a local Ifugao woman weaving cloth. Using traditional materials and methods, Minda labors fourteen hours a day seven days a week in this little shop weaving cloth. A finished piece of cloth like the one shown will take 14-18 hours to make and can be sold for P150 ($6.00). The cloth is used to make purses, blankets, placemats, table runners, and traditional Ifugao outfits. The sewing machine in the background is modern in design but is powered by a foot pedal.
